The main theme of the Heritage Foundation is the Border War between Missouri and Kansas, which consists of interpretations of the years of difficult balance established by the Missouri Compromise. This compromise left the future slave status of the territory in the hands of the colonists and gave way to the Civil War. The Heritage Christian Services Foundation also exists to ensure that people with intellectual and developmental disabilities receive the best care and quality of life, regardless of how the economy is doing.

The Heritage Foundation utilizes

information from donors to understand their interests in its mission and to update them on the organization's plans and activities. The groups interviewed for the study included advocates for private property rights, such as the Heritage Foundation, the American Land Rights Association, and the United States Private Property Foundation. Some of these organizations were among the first to adopt national heritage areas in order to boost economic development and tourism in “Rust Belt” communities. Subtopics include Shaping the Frontier, which interprets river trips that ended at Missouri's western border and gave way to long overland walks beyond it.

This left Native American populations behind. The Enduring Struggles for Freedom also interprets stories from this place that have inspired national policies and ongoing efforts to ensure equal freedoms for all Americans. Heritage Christian Services has dozens of homes and programs in Rochester and Buffalo, NY metropolitan areas. Everyone has the opportunity to participate in this organization. The Heritage Foundation also assures donors that their names and addresses will not be shared with third parties unless permission has been granted. The Freedom Frontier National Heritage Area (FFNHA) is made up of volunteer partners from 41 counties in western Missouri and eastern Kansas who guide planning and execution of heritage area projects.

Truman Heritage Habitat for Humanity of Eastern Jackson County, Missouri is a faith-based, non-profit Christian organization. These heritage areas begin with Freedom Frontier National Heritage as local initiatives, which are ultimately authorized by Congress and managed by the National Park Service.
